Today, I have 2 positions only for Drilling, the deadline is next week: Senior Drilling Supervisor* Night Drilling Supervisor

 

Night Drilling Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:-

The Night Drilling Supervisor reports directly to the Senior Drilling Supervisor and functionally to the Drilling Superintendent and is required to perform the following duties prior to the delivery of the TAD:-

 

Assist the Senior Drilling Supervisor as directed.

·         Represent BDPOC at all FAT/commissioning of equipment and systems on the PVD5.

·         Review each of PVD's detailed work instructions for every rig based operation to ensure all hazards are adequately identified and controlled.

·         Attend pre-tour and pre-job safety meetings to ensure that BDPOC safety culture is being nurtured and followed.

·         Interpret detailed drilling guidelines and ensure that PVD and third party procedures cover them entirely.

·         Review roles and responsibilities for all PVD wellsite personnel to ensure concurrence with their safety training matrix.

 

The Night Drilling Supervisor reports directly to the Senior Drilling Supervisor and functionally to the Drilling Superintendent and is required to perform the following duties following the commencement of drilling:-

 

·         Assist the Senior Drilling Supervisor as directed.

·         Perform the supervisory function from 18:00 to 06:00 or as directed by the Senior Drilling Supervisor.

·         Compile the Daily Drilling Report for review by the Senior Drilling Supervisor.

·         Direct, organise and manage the implementation of offshore drilling, completion, testing, workover, and wireline activities at the work site in accordance with approved instructions, programmes, procedures and practices.

·         Manage the drilling and related work activities and personnel at the work sites safely by enforcing and implementing good oil field practices and other statutory requirements as required by law.

·         Achieve optimum operating cost.

·         Operate as part of a team.

·         Safeguard the safety of personnel and property.

·         Protect the environment.

·         Ensure that all drilling operations and all drilling related operations are conducted within budget and schedule through proper planning and managing of resources.

·         Implement Bien Dong POC's HSE management systems and procedures.

·         Conduct and chair regular HSE Meetings and daily operations meetings.

·         Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of equipment, materials and areas.

·         Ensure all reports submitted from the work site are comprehensive, detailed, concise, correct and complete by reviewing the data prior to submission.

·         Ensure optimal operations performance by constantly evaluating, analyzing and recommending good practices and procedures.

·         Ensure close liaison, and verbal & written communication with Drilling Superintendent, Geologists, Logistics Coordinator, and Drilling HSE Advisor.

·         Ensure close liaison, and verbal & written communication with PVD and service company personnel offshore.

·         Conduct performance monitoring of rig contractor and service companies and submit assessment reports.

·         Provide on the spot decision to any technical problems encountered by conducting risk assessment and providing corrective actions.

·         Ensure equipment, materials and services are timely available by detail planning and forecasting rig future activities.

·         Take command, control, and manage emergency situations which may arise offshore (ie. Well control situation, accidents or incidents).

·         Participate in training and development of appropriate skills for the subordinates.

·         Develop & train technical skills of subordinates by proper coaching, training and mentoring.

·         Work a 28 day rotation and may be required to perform relief work as Drilling Superintendent in the BDPOC Ho Chi Minh City office.

Qualification

The candidate shall have/be the following:

-          Higher education qualifications.

-          Valid IWCF surface BOP, supervisor's level well control certification or equivalent.

-          Valid Medical Certificate.

-          Valid HUET & Offshore Survival Certificate.

-          Adequate 15 years oilfield experience, at least 5 years with floating drilling rigs, at least 5 years with platform/tender or jack-up drilling rigs.

-          A strong working knowledge of HPHT drilling and completion operations.

-          Fluent in oral and written English.

-          Familiar & experienced with HSE Standards & Procedures and HSE culture of major international operators.

-          Computer Literate.

-          Familiar & experienced with drilling reporting software.

-          Ability to write clear & comprehensive reports and instructions.

-          Familiar & experienced with offshore logistics.

-          Familiar & experienced managing rig contractor and service company personnel offshore.

-          Familiarity with drilling in Vietnam would be an advantage but not essential.
