The Material Management Assurance Specialist shall be responsible for development and implementation of the Materials Technical Integrity Assurance requirements in order to ensure Health, Safety, Environmental, Technical Integrity and Quality issues are fully addressed.
The Material Management Assurance Specialist shall be the designated management representative for Material Management Integrity Assurance. He/she has necessary independence, authority and responsibility to assure satisfactory implementation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance / Control System and HSE Management System are implemented in Material Management area.
The minimum requirements of the Material Management Assurance Specialist:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related field plus ten (10) years experience in Material Management.
- Qualify as ISO 9000: 2000 Lead Auditor
- Qualify as ISO 14000 Lead Auditor
- The Material Management Assurance Specialist must have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and superior planning and managing Health, Safety, Environmental, Technical Integrity, Quality and Value Engineering.
The Material Management Assurance Specialist's primary duties shall consist of the following:
- Supervise the development and implementation of the Material Management Assurance requirements in order to ensure Health, Safety, Environmental, Technical Integrity, Quality and Value Engineering are fully addressed.
- With assistance from the Technical Authority and QA/QC Specialist, leads the development of the Criticality Assessment Exercise and Quality Assurance / Quality Control Programmes for Purchased Materials.
- Supervise the development and update PML ( Preferred Manufacturer List ) document and ensure that technical authorities are identified and the required technical approvals are obtained for key technical and revision document.
- Ensure that the Quality Assurance, Health, Safety and Environment Audit Programmes are being effectively implemented in Vendors/Suppliers. All vendor audit assurance requirements shall be continually evaluated to maintain technical integrity and overall value
- Acts as the focal point for all Statutory, Legislative and Quality certification requirements.
- Monitor the local content realisation and compare it with contractual local content as included in PO and prepare a periodic report.
