An upscale 4-stars hotel in Medan's central business district is searching for qualified and experienced professionals to join its team as:
Pastry Chef
Job Description:
· Reports directly to General Manager
· Responsible for the implementation, development and smooth operations of pastry kitchen
· Organizes food production in a cost efficient and hygienic manner
· Able to make chocolate decoration, wedding cake, breads, etc
· Assists in formulating, coordinating and supervising menu planning and implementation
· Ensures food standards and presentations are maintained and continuously improved
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Indonesian male above 25 years old, but less than 40 years old
· Two years degree or apprenticeship
· Current sanitation class certificate
· Minimum 5 years of luxury hotel culinary experience
· Minimum 2 years of management experience as Pastry Chef
· Good knowledge of gastronomy Pastry tools and equipment
· Basic knowledge of calculations for developing recipes, ordering and financial reporting purposes
· Working knowledge of computers and basic software
· Ability to delegate responsibility, attention to details, handle multiple task and show high level of patience
· Possess good written and verbal command of English and Indonesian language
